Russell Irving is an author and illustrator creating soulful, quirky books and images to encourage personal and cross-cultural connections. To inspire readers to learn about, and care for, the world around them, and in turn, themselves.

He is a non-Indigenous Australian who grew up in Naarm, Melbourne, and now lives and works on Bundjalung Country in northern NSW. He has worked for 20 years as an environmental and cross-cultural educator and manager in Aboriginal affairs and community organisations across urban, regional and remote Australia. This includes many years working with Aboriginal Ranger groups and Indigenous Protected Areas (visit www.countryneedspeople.org.au).

When the content dictates, his books are reviewed by appropriate Aboriginal advisors to ensure they are cross culturally respectful, informed, and endorsed, and to direct donations from book sales to appropriate community organisations.
They are available at his shop and through all major online retailers.
